Application Timing: Varies depending on type. Tourist visas will be filled out on a flight or at port of entry if arriving by land.

One of the buzz words you'll hear thrown around when discussing Mexico's tourist visa is generous, as it offers 180 days a year. That's probably enough for a lot of nomads, but if not you can apply for temporary residency visa. Importantly - temporary residency visas cannot be applied for in Mexico. It must be done at a consulate or embassy outside of Mexico, and within your country of citizenship is preferred.
