Over the course of our 25-year history, our team has been devoted to helping expatriates, digital nomads, and retirees help one another move, live and travel abroad. While the online world has evolved dramatically during this time period, our passion for international experiences continues to grow. We are always in awe of the generosity of our members each time they reach out and lend a helping hand to another digital nomad or someone preparing to make a transition to an international lifestyle. That's what drives our passion to ensure that Digital Nomad Exchange and Expat Exchange will continue to be at the forefront of international life for the next 25 years and beyond!
Betsy Burlingame
Betsy Burlingame is one of the founders of Digital Nomad Exchange and the Founder and President of Expat Exchange. She launched Expat Exchange in 1997 as her Master's thesis project at NYU. Prior to Expat Exchange and Digital Nomad Exchange, Betsy worked at AT&T in International and Mass Market Marketing. She graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University with a BA in International Business and German.

Joshua Wood
Joshua Wood, LPC is one of the Founders of Digital Nomad Exchange and serves as Co-President of Expat Exchange. Prior to Expat Exchange and Digital Nomad Exchange, Joshua worked for NBC Cable (MSNBC and CNBC Primetime). Joshua has a BA from Syracuse and a Master's in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Mr. Wood is also a licensed counselor and psychotherapist.
