"Life for a retiree in Somalia and its surroundings can be quite challenging. The country is still recovering from decades of civil war and conflict, and the infrastructure is still in a state of disrepair. There is a small expat community in Somalia, but it is not as active as in other countries. Cultural attractions are limited, but there are some interesting historical sites to explore. Recreation is limited, but there are some outdoor activities such as fishing and hiking. Nightlife is virtually non-existent, as most of the country is still in a state of emergency," commented one retiree living in Somalia.
