These properties typically include modern amenities such as air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen, and a private balcony or terrace. Foreigners are allowed to purchase property in Suva, however, they must obtain a permit from the Ministry of Lands and Mineral Resources. When searching for a home to buy in Suva, expats should consider their budget, desired location, and the type of amenities they are looking for. It is also important to research the local real estate market and consult with a real estate agent to ensure they are getting the best deal.

We asked expats how they chose their neighborhood and found a place to live. They answered:

"One option for finding a place to live in Suva is to search online for rental listings. Websites such as Realestate.com.fj, Fijisun.com.fj, and Fijihomes.com are good resources for finding rental properties in Suva. Additionally, you can contact local real estate agents who specialize in rental properties in the area. Additionally, you can look for rental listings in local newspapers and on bulletin boards in the area. Finally, you can ask friends and family who live in Suva for recommendations," said one expat in Suva.
