How do I find a place to live in Amalfi?

We asked expats how they chose their neighborhood and found a place to live. They answered:

"Finding a place to live in Amalfi, involves several steps. First, you need to determine your budget and the type of accommodation you're looking for. This could range from a small apartment to a large villa, depending on your needs and financial capabilities. Next, you should research the different neighborhoods in Amalfi to find one that suits your lifestyle and preferences. Some areas may be closer to the beach, while others may be more residential or closer to the town center. Once you have a clear idea of what you're looking for, you can start your search. There are several online platforms that list properties for rent or sale in Amalfi, such as Immobiliare.it, Casa.it, and Idealista. These websites allow you to filter your search based on location, price, size, and other features. In addition to online searches, you may also want to consider hiring a local real estate agent. They can provide valuable insight into the local market, help negotiate prices, and guide you through the legal process of renting or buying a property in Italy. Visiting Amalfi in person before making a decision is also highly recommended. This allows you to view properties, explore the area, and get a feel for the local community. Once you've found a property you're interested in, you'll need to negotiate the terms of the lease or purchase agreement. Make sure to thoroughly read and understand any contracts before signing. Finally, once all the paperwork is completed and you've paid any necessary fees or deposits, you can move into your new home in Amalfi," said one person in Amalfi.
