What cultural faux pas should I try to avoid making in Saadiyat Island?

"In Saadiyat Island, it's important to respect the local customs and traditions. Public displays of affection are generally frowned upon, so it's best to avoid hugging, kissing, or holding hands in public. Dressing modestly is also important, particularly for women. It's recommended to cover your shoulders and knees, and avoid wearing tight or revealing clothing. Alcohol consumption is allowed in designated areas, but public intoxication and drinking and driving are strictly prohibited. It's also considered rude to refuse an invitation to someone's home. If you're invited, it's customary to bring a small gift, but avoid giving anything made of pig skin or anything that contains alcohol, as these are considered haram (forbidden) in Islam. Taking photographs of people without their permission, particularly women, is considered disrespectful and can even be illegal. During the holy month of Ramadan, eating, drinking, or smoking in public during daylight hours is considered disrespectful. Finally, avoid making negative comments about the royal family or the government, as this can be considered a crime," remarked another expat who made the move to Saadiyat Island, the UAE.
