What do expats find most challenging?

Answer this Question

We asked expats and digital nomads what they find the most challenging about the local culture in Greystones. They wrote...

"Expats in Greystones, Ireland may find the local accent and dialect challenging to understand, especially when they first arrive. The Irish language, although not widely spoken, can also be a barrier. The weather, often rainy and cold, can be a significant adjustment for those from warmer climates. Some expats may struggle with the slower pace of life in this small seaside town, as well as the limited nightlife and entertainment options. The cost of living, particularly housing, can be high compared to other parts of Ireland. Lastly, while the locals are generally friendly, it can take time to form deep connections and fully integrate into the community," said another expat in Greystones , Ireland.
