Is the cost of living in Copan Ruinas high?

Answer this Question

We asked people how much they someone comfortably live on in Copan Ruinas, they wrote...

"The cost of living in Copan Ruinas is relatively low compared to many Western countries. Rent for a one-bedroom apartment in the city center is quite affordable, while outside the city center, it is even cheaper. The cost of utilities such as electricity, heating, cooling, and water is also quite low. Groceries are also inexpensive, with local markets offering fresh produce at very affordable prices. Eating out at an inexpensive restaurant is also quite cheap. However, dining at a mid-range restaurant can be a bit more expensive, but still affordable compared to Western standards. Transportation costs are also low, with affordable public transportation options and relatively cheap gasoline prices for those who drive. Healthcare is also reasonably priced, with both public and private healthcare options available at a fraction of the cost compared to Western countries. However, it's important to note that while the cost of living is low, so are the average wages. Therefore, what might seem cheap to a foreigner might not be the case for locals," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to Copan Ruinas, Honduras.
