What type of social life can someone expect in Ho Chi Minh City?

"Most expats in Vietnam were either much younger than me or much older and married. They all had great social experiences, but not a great place for a single middle aged woman as far as socializing," remarked another expat in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

"Expats, retirees, and digital nomads living in Ho Chi Minh City, typically enjoy a vibrant and diverse social life. They often connect with fellow expats and locals through various social events, language exchanges, and networking groups. Many also participate in cultural activities, such as attending local festivals, exploring the city's historical sites, and trying out traditional Vietnamese cuisine. Additionally, they may join sports clubs, fitness classes, or volunteer organizations to stay active and engaged with the community. The city's thriving nightlife scene, with its numerous bars, clubs, and live music venues, also provides ample opportunities for socializing and making new friends. Overall, the welcoming atmosphere and diverse expat community in Ho Chi Minh City make it easy for newcomers to build a fulfilling social life," said a member in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
