"I glad I rented a furnished house and kept my condo in California. It allowed me to literally flee Mexico when the pandemic first hit, and go home to where I had health insurance, doctors and access to better health care. I totally did not trust the Mexican government to adequately handle Covid and I was right. Though it was also terrible in the US, I felt way safer being here during the pandemic," explained one expat living in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
