To apply for a visa, interested visitors must complete an application form, obtain a letter of sponsorship from family members or a Mexican business, provide their passport copy, a bank reference letter, and a round trip ticket to Mexico. To obtain residency in Puerto Penasco, interested visitors must apply at the immigration office and provide a valid passport, two passport size photos, Mexican bank account documents, medical report, original birth certificate and criminal background report. In addition to these documents, applicants should also provide a contract from an employer in Mexico, or documents that demonstrate economic solvency or proof of investments made in Mexico. Additionally, an immigration interview may be required. Approval of the residency application is subject to immigration authorities," said another expat in Puerto Penasco, Mexico.
