"Before retiring in The Netherlands, expats should make sure to familiarize themselves with the country's culture and customs. Also, it is important to research the cost of living to make sure it fits their budget. Additionally, expats should make sure to obtain a resident permit in order to take advantage of certain benefits such as access to the healthcare system. Finally, expats need to be aware that most of the population speaks Dutch, so it would be beneficial to have basic proficiency in the language before retiring," remarked another expat in Netherlands.
