As a foreigner living in Nepal, will I have access to public healthcare? What is it like?

Answer this Question

We asked expats in Nepal if they have access to public healthcare in Nepal. And, if they do have access, what is it like. They wrote...

"Yes, foreigners living in Nepal have access to public healthcare. The quality of care varies depending on the region, but generally the public healthcare system is adequate for basic medical needs. The government provides free healthcare for citizens, and foreigners may be able to access some services at a reduced cost. However, it is recommended that foreigners living in Nepal purchase private health insurance to ensure access to quality healthcare," remarked another expat who made the move to Nepal.
