What have your experiences during the pandemic with the local healthcare system been like?

Answer this Question

When we asked expats and global nomads in Algeria about their experiences during the pandemic with the local healthcare system, they replied...

"The pandemic has had a significant impact on the healthcare system in Algeria. The government has implemented a number of measures to protect the population, including the closure of schools and universities, the suspension of public transport, and the introduction of a curfew. The healthcare system has also been affected, with hospitals and clinics struggling to cope with the increased demand for medical services. The government has responded by increasing the number of beds in hospitals and providing additional medical staff. Despite these efforts, the healthcare system has been overwhelmed by the number of patients seeking treatment, leading to long waiting times and overcrowding in hospitals. Additionally, the lack of access to medical supplies and equipment has been a major challenge for healthcare workers," explained one expat living in Algeria.
