"Yes, foreigners are allowed to own property in Malaysia. However, there are certain restrictions in place. Foreigners are only allowed to purchase property in certain designated areas, such as the Iskandar Malaysia region. Additionally, foreigners are not allowed to purchase agricultural land, and they must obtain approval from the relevant state authority before they can purchase any property," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to Malaysia.
