"My wife and I are planning early retirement, (both 52) have sold up everything in UK and are at present living on our canal boat which we have also sold(the new owners have kindly let us live aboard till end of June) Our initial plan was to move to tenerife and we started our visa application, now the consulates are on an indefinite strike and it is becoming increasingly apparent that we will not have our visas issued before we our homeless. We are now considering Bulgaria and would greatly appreciate if any of you kind people could give us a quick run down on the visa application, cost and approx time to be processed. We already have our police check and medical certs which are only 1 month old. We are looking to locate ourselves around the Burges area. Many thanks in advance" - Boatkaty
