The village maintains a quiet, laid-back atmosphere with a strong emphasis on preserving its natural environment and local character. Careyes attracts visitors seeking an authentic Mexican coastal experience away from crowded resort areas, offering opportunities for swimming, snorkeling, and enjoying fresh seafood at local restaurants. The surrounding landscape is characterized by lush tropical vegetation and rugged coastal terrain, creating a picturesque setting for relaxation and nature appreciation.
