Virgin Isl. is a mix of Caribbean and British influences. The people are friendly and welcoming, and the islands are known for their laid-back atmosphere. The islands are also known for their beautiful beaches and stunning scenery.

"Expats living in the British Virgin Islands can join a variety of clubs and activities, such as sailing, diving, and fishing. There are also a number of social clubs and organizations that host events and activities for expats. Additionally, expats can meet people by attending local festivals and events, such as the BVI Music Festival and the BVI Food Fete. Expats can also meet people by attending church services, joining a gym, or taking classes at a local college or university. Finally, expats can meet people by simply exploring the islands and getting to know the locals," said one person in Brit. Virgin Isl..
"There are a great number of yacht clubs and sailing clubs here. If you're active in sailing, you might want to gain friends through these clubs, Filipinos have an active community whoparticipates in so many social and environmental projects/activities..same with other caribean countries who have established their own communities in BVI," said one expat who made the move to Tortola.
