Summary: Cameroon is not a particularly popular destination for digital nomads, but it is becoming increasingly attractive to those looking for a unique and affordable place to live and work. The most popular cities for digital nomads in Cameroon are Yaoundé, Douala, and Buea. Digital nomads are drawn to Cameroon for its low cost of living, diverse culture, and friendly people. A digital nomad in Cameroon can live comfortably on a monthly budget of around $1,000 USD. Cameroon is a culturally diverse country, with over 200 ethnic groups and a variety of languages spoken. The culture of Cameroon is heavily influenced by its colonial history, with French and English being the two official languages. Foods popular in Cameroon include plantains, cassava, yams, and maize. Other popular dishes include ndole (a stew made with bitter leaves), koki (a cornmeal dish), and mbongo (a spicy fish stew). Cameroon is also known for its delicious street food, such as grilled chicken, plantains, and kebabs.
