The public healthcare system is funded by the government and is free for all Hong Kong residents. The quality of public healthcare is generally high, with a wide range of medical facilities and services available. Foreign residents are also able to access the public healthcare system, although they may be required to pay a fee. Expats in Hong Kong can use the public healthcare system by registering with a local clinic and paying the applicable fees. In addition, many expats opt to purchase private health insurance to cover any additional costs," said a member in Hong Kong.
