What is it like to retire in Yemen?
"Life for a retiree in Yemen and its surroundings can be quite challenging due to the ongoing civil war and political unrest. Despite this, there is still a vibrant expat community in the country, with many retirees choosing to settle in the capital city of Sana'a. There are a variety of cultural attractions to explore, such as the ancient city of Shibam, the historic city of Zabid, and the beautiful beaches of Socotra Island. For recreation, retirees can enjoy the many outdoor activities available, such as hiking, camping, and bird watching. There is also a range of nightlife options, including traditional Yemeni restaurants, bars, and nightclubs," commented one retiree living in Yemen.
