Familiarize yourself with the local customs to ensure respect and good relationships with locals. 5. Get used to local dishes and the type of food you can find in Guadalajara. 6. Educate yourself about the different payment methods and currencies used in Mexico. 7. Look for certified and reputable healthcare providers in advance to ensure your medical needs are met. 8. Look up important documents that are needed for residences in Mexico, such as visa, residency permit and others," remarked one expat who made the move to Guadalajara.
