Where should I live in Byron Bay?

We asked digital nomads and expats how they chose their neighborhood and found a place to live. They answered:

"Finding a place to live in Byron Bay involves several steps. Firstly, you need to determine your budget. This will help you narrow down your options and focus on properties that you can afford. Next, you should decide on the type of accommodation you want. Byron Bay offers a variety of options, including apartments, houses, shared accommodations, and even holiday rentals. Once you have a clear idea of what you're looking for, you can start your search. There are several online platforms that list properties for rent or sale in Byron Bay. Websites like realestate.com.au, domain.com.au, and flatmates.com.au are popular choices. You can filter your search based on your preferences, such as location, price range, number of bedrooms, and so on. Make sure to check the listings regularly, as new properties are added frequently. If you're in Byron Bay, you can also visit local real estate agencies. They can provide you with listings that may not be available online and offer valuable advice on the local property market. Once you find a property that you're interested in, contact the landlord or real estate agent to arrange a viewing. This will give you a chance to inspect the property and ask any questions you may have. If you're satisfied with the property, you can then proceed to apply for it. This usually involves filling out an application form and providing references. Finally, if your application is successful, you'll need to sign a lease agreement and pay a deposit. Make sure to read the lease carefully and understand all the terms before signing. Remember, finding a place to live can take time, so be patient and don't rush the process. It's important to find a place that suits your needs and makes you feel at home," explained one expat living in Byron Bay, Australia.
