For those interested in the arts, there are dance classes, music groups, and art workshops that are popular among the expat community. In addition to clubs and activities, expats often meet people through local events and festivals. Machala is known for its vibrant festivals, such as the World Banana Fair, which attracts people from all over the world. These events provide a great opportunity to mingle with locals and other expats. Volunteering is another way that expats meet people in Machala.
