It is important to research the visa requirements for long-term stays in Laos, as well as the availability of healthcare and other services. Additionally, it is important to be aware of the cultural norms and customs of the country, as well as the language, in order to ensure a smooth transition. Finally, expats should be aware of the political situation in Laos, as it can affect their ability to stay in the country," said one expat who made the move to Vientiane.
