What advice do you have for expats having a baby in Grecia?
We asked expat moms who gave birth in Grecia about their experiences and advice they have for other moms to be. They said...
"Firstly, it is important to research specialised medical professionals and facilities that can provide the necessary care and support to ensure a safe and healthy delivery. As Costa Rica does not provide public healthcare, expats should be aware of the costs of medical attention, seeking advice for health insurance policies that provide coverage for births. Additionally, it is beneficial to become part of the local expat community to make friendships and receive firsthand advice from other parents on what to expect when having a baby in Costa Rica. Lastly, due to the abundance of wildlife and exotic plants, it is important to take extra mosquito protection precautions to ensure the baby is kept safe from insect-borne illnesses," wrote a member who made the move to Grecia, Costa Rica.
