What advice do you have for expats having a baby in Mumbai?

Answer this Question

We asked expat moms who gave birth in Mumbai about their experiences and advice they have for other moms to be. They said...

"1. Make sure to research the best hospitals and doctors in the area to ensure you have the best care for your baby. 2. Consider hiring a doula or midwife to provide additional support during the pregnancy and delivery. 3. Familiarize yourself with the local laws and regulations regarding childbirth and parenting. 4. Join a local expat group or online forum to connect with other expats who have had babies in Mumbai. 5. Take advantage of the many cultural activities and attractions in the city to keep your baby entertained and engaged. 6. Make sure to stock up on essential items such as diapers, formula, and other baby supplies before the baby arrives. 7. Consider hiring a nanny or babysitter to help with childcare if needed. 8. Take time to explore the city and get to know the local culture and customs. 9. Make sure to take care of yourself during the pregnancy and postpartum period to ensure you are in the best possible health for your baby," remarked another expat in Mumbai, India.
