"Thais are very laid-back with a very strong focus on family. They also have an extraordinary work ethic which is probably do to the harsh standard of living," said another expat in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
"Expats in Chiang Mai appreciate the city's laid-back atmosphere and friendly locals. They also enjoy the city's vibrant nightlife, delicious food, and abundance of outdoor activities. The city's rich culture and history, as well as its proximity to nature, are also highly appreciated. Additionally, the cost of living in Chiang Mai is much lower than in other cities, making it an attractive destination for expats," wrote a member who made the move to Chiang Mai, Thailand.
