What should I pack when moving to Girona?

Answer this Question

We asked people living in Girona to list three things they wish they had brought and three they wish they had left behind. They responded...

"When moving to Girona, you should pack essential clothing items such as lightweight clothes for the warm months, layers for cooler temperatures, and a waterproof jacket for occasional rain. Don't forget comfortable walking shoes, as Girona has many cobblestone streets and beautiful places to explore on foot. Bring important documents, including your passport, visa, driver's license, and any necessary medical records. It's also a good idea to have copies of these documents in case of loss or theft. Pack any prescription medications you may need, as well as a basic first aid kit and any over-the-counter medications you use regularly. It's also helpful to have a small supply of toiletries to get you started, although you can easily purchase these items in Girona. Bring a power adapter and voltage converter for your electronic devices, as Spain uses a different voltage and plug type than some other countries. You may also want to pack a small selection of your favorite books, movies, or games to help you relax and unwind in your new home. If you plan on cooking at home, consider packing a few essential kitchen items, such as a good knife, a cutting board, and your favorite spices. However, keep in mind that Girona has plenty of stores where you can purchase kitchen supplies. Lastly, pack some sentimental items, like family photos or small keepsakes, to help make your new living space feel more like home," said a member in Girona, Spain.
