The local cuisine is a mix of Caribbean, Mexican, and Mayan influences, with a heavy emphasis on seafood and fresh fruits. Sarteneja is a small fishing village, so it's perfect for those who enjoy a quiet, laid-back lifestyle. However, it may not offer the same level of amenities or entertainment as larger cities.
