On the other hand, some expats and digital nomads may dislike the limited entertainment options, as Vientiane is a small city with a slower pace of life compared to other Southeast Asian capitals. The lack of public transportation and the need to rely on tuk-tuks or motorbikes for getting around can be inconvenient for some. Additionally, the quality of healthcare facilities may not be up to the standards that expats from Western countries are used to, and they may need to travel to neighboring countries for more advanced medical treatments. The hot and humid climate can also be a challenge for those not accustomed to tropical weather.
