"So far I have just done visa extensions, making trips out of the country at least every three months. Later, I will go through the process to stay," commented one expat who made the move to Cebu, Philippines.

"If you plan to be in the Philippines for an extended period of time, you will need to apply for a Temporary Residence Visa (TRV). Depending on the length of your stay, you may also need to apply for a Special Resident Retiree's Visa (SRRV). You will need to provide proof of identity and passport, a passport-size photograph, and a bank certificate of deposit (CD) to the Philippine embassy or consulate in your home country to start the visa application process," remarked another expat in Philippines.
