What are healthcare services like in Laos?
We asked retirees if they have access to good medical care in Laos. They wrote...
"Healthcare services in Laos are limited, especially in rural areas. The country has a shortage of medical professionals and facilities, and access to quality healthcare is often difficult to obtain. The government has made efforts to improve healthcare services, such as providing free healthcare to children under five and pregnant women, as well as expanding access to basic health services. However, the quality of care is still far below international standards. Additionally, the cost of healthcare is often prohibitively expensive for many people, making it difficult for them to access the care they need," remarked another expat who made the move to Laos.
