How do I meet people in Kyrgyzstan?
When we asked people living in Kyrgyzstan about club and activities where newcomers can meet others, they responded...
"Expats in Kyrgyzstan often join local clubs and activities such as hiking, skiing, and horseback riding. Expats can also join international organizations such as the American Women's Club of Bishkek or the International Women's Club of Bishkek. Additionally, expats can meet people by attending local events such as concerts, festivals, and art exhibitions. Expats can also meet people by attending language classes, volunteering, or joining a local gym. Finally, expats can meet people by attending meetups or networking events organized by local expat groups," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to Kyrgyzstan.
"Not many organized groups I heard of except the Harriers, a running/socializing group that meets every week. However, there are a load of volunteer activities, especially tutoring in English," commented one expat who made the move to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
