When we asked people about industries and career opportunities in Switzerland, they reponded...

"Foreigners in Switzerland often find employment as language teachers, IT specialists, health care workers, financial advisors, hospitality workers, logistics personnel, and other professions requiring special skills. Foreigners may also frequently find employment in a variety of retail and hospitality positions such as stores, restaurants, and hotels. Some foreigners may also find employment in agriculture related work such as farming or livestock production. Additionally, the engineering, construction, and renewable energy industries have seen steady growth in foreign workers in recent years," said another expat in Switzerland.

"The main industry is finance - banking, wealth management, etc. Career opportunities are good but Switzerland is suffering like everywhere else around the world, following Sept. 11 with rising unemployment. As well as employment agencies, you can find jobs via the internet or newspapers," wrote a member who made the move to Zurich, Switzerland.
