What have your experiences during the pandemic with the local healthcare system been like?
When we asked expats and global nomads in Dominica about their experiences during the pandemic with the local healthcare system, they replied...
"The pandemic has had a significant impact on the local healthcare system in Dominica. The government has implemented a number of measures to protect the health and safety of the population, including the closure of the country's borders, the suspension of non-essential services, and the introduction of a curfew. The healthcare system has also been stretched to its limits, with limited resources and personnel to cope with the increased demand for medical services. Despite these challenges, the healthcare system has been able to provide quality care to those in need, and the government has taken steps to ensure that the most vulnerable members of the population are able to access the care they need," explained one expat living in Dominica.
