"Healthcare services in Amman, are generally of good quality, with a mix of public and private hospitals and clinics available to residents and visitors. The city is home to several well-equipped medical facilities, staffed by skilled professionals, many of whom have received training abroad. Public hospitals in Amman provide affordable healthcare services, but they can be crowded and may have longer waiting times. On the other hand, private hospitals and clinics offer a higher standard of care, with more advanced equipment and shorter waiting times, but at a higher cost. Pharmacies are widely available throughout the city, and many medications can be purchased over the counter without a prescription. However, it is recommended to consult a doctor before taking any medication. In case of emergencies, ambulance services are available, but traffic congestion in the city can sometimes cause delays in response times. Overall, healthcare services in Amman are considered to be of good quality, but it is advisable for visitors to have comprehensive travel insurance to cover any potential medical expenses," wrote a member who made the move to Amman, Jordan.
