"Yes, El Salvador has a high rate of crime. The country has one of the highest homicide rates in the world, and gang violence is a major problem. In addition, there is a high rate of extortion, robbery, and other forms of violent crime. The government has taken steps to combat crime, but the situation remains serious," wrote a member who made the move to El Salvador.
