"The climate in Azerbaijan is generally dry and continental, with hot summers and cold winters. Rainfall is usually low, but there are occasional heavy rains and snowfall in the winter months. The mountainous regions of Azerbaijan experience colder temperatures and more precipitation than the lowlands. In the summer months, temperatures can reach up to 40°C (104°F), while in the winter months temperatures can drop to -20°C (-4°F)," remarked another expat in Azerbaijan.
