We asked people about the cost of living in Australia, they wrote...

"The cost of living in Australia is generally high, although it can vary depending on the city or town. Rent is one of the biggest expenses, with a large range of variation depending on location and the quality of the home. For instance, a nice one bedroom apartment in Australia typically rents for between 1300 and 2500 USD per month, while a nice two bedroom apartment typically rents for between 1700 and 4000 USD per month. Eating out can also get quite expensive, with the average dinner at a moderately priced restaurant costing around 20 to 40 USD," remarked another expat who made the move to Australia.
