What should I pack when moving to Sanremo?
We asked people living in Sanremo to list three things they wish they had brought and three they wish they had left behind. They responded...
"When moving to Sanremo, you should pack a variety of clothing suitable for a Mediterranean climate, including lightweight clothing for the warm summers and heavier clothing for the cooler winters. Don't forget to pack a good pair of walking shoes, as exploring the city on foot is common. You should also pack any necessary prescription medications, along with a copy of your prescription. It's also a good idea to bring a basic first aid kit. If you plan on cooking, consider packing some of your favorite non-perishable spices or ingredients that may be hard to find in Italy. Remember to bring all necessary documentation, such as your passport, visa, driver's license, and any other identification. Pack a plug adapter for your electronics, as Italy uses a different type of plug than many other countries. If you're planning on driving, you might want to bring an international driving permit, as well as a copy of your car insurance. Don't forget to pack personal items that will make your new place feel like home, such as photos, favorite books, or small keepsakes. Lastly, consider packing a phrasebook or dictionary to help you with the Italian language, or download a language app on your phone," said another expat in Sanremo, Italy.
